Here I will do my ranting I am going to either pick a topic and post my feelings on the subject or talk about whats on my mind.

To start I will go with being sick.
Being sick you miss alot to do. My family had a cook out I couldn't go because I was vaumiting, and had a fever. I can't injoy my new pool because of lingering side effects. I mised so much work almost 2 weeks I almost lost my job.

Now on the subject of my job.
I work as a cook. Th place started out as a truck stop/gas station, then evolved into a hamburger place as well. When I joined they started it out as a grill. We do steaks and all kinds of special prep foods. I took the job the first time to help my grandmother out doing the kitchen dishes, but when my couscine dide I went to his funeral and when I got back I was fired. Then I was et back because they ran off almost half their employees. I worked for almost a year before I took a unaproved abscence. I was underpayed, I did three person job. But now I have been back for almost over 3 years, I'm still under paid I get 7.00 an hour, and now I do more then a 3 person job.

We get new people come in and they work like a day then leave. This guy came in and worked for 2 days he agreed to work weekend 2nd shift. Then came back and said he can't work on Sat, Sun. We found him at a casino when he was suppose to take care of his kids, he was fired. Then this woman now she took a week off for being sick, but she called from California to tell us she was sick and can't come in. Now she wants a two week vaction and she got it. She been there for 5 months, I been there for almost 3 years or more and not a vaction until I got sick.
I hate taking my days off and going to work for other people and not get over time pay wich I should get. I can't quit because they'll make it harder on my grandmother so I just take it and do my job.
(Course the smoke breaks I take calm me down)

Well I am still very young and I dont know if this is a good idea but is there anything you could do that if you did it you could get a raise or something like that.

The boss only listens to kiss asses. And they know I'm not one of the people who kiss their asses because I told them one day after being let go for the funeral I went to. I wasn't going to kiss ass to get my job back.

Wow it sounds like your boss is mean. I will try to think of something else.

Now last week our fryers go out. They came to fix them 2 days a go, but before they did there was turmoil. We told the people behind the counter, the waitresses and the boss that our fryes, tots, and oinion rings and so on would turn to mush if cooked in oil on stove. But they made us do it and when they turned like we said we got blamed for them turning like crap. They made my sister almost cry and leave work tuesday. I was cooking after we got things cleaned up and then the dauntherinlaw of the boss who dose the togo orders and the front came back and started griping at me because customers were griping at her at the way they turned out. I was literly pulled aside because I was about to let her have a few choice words on the whole thing. I'm glad they are fixed now, because they want you to do a 5 star job on crap when you have equiopment that breaks or quits, and all you can do is your best and get griped because of it. People don't last long at my resteraunt I work. I'm suprised I lasted almost 3 in a holf years this time.

I have been here 3 times. The first time I worked after school, I quit. The second time I worked for 2 years then my cousin dide in a car crash, I called the boss and I got it oked by my coworkers if I left for the funeral, when I got back I was fired for leaving. I almost quit when they treat me like crap sometimes when we are slow and nothing to do at work. I only stay because of my grandmother, she is over 60 and works there I work there to help her out.

Well I hope this is helpful but you could look for a job that you like and when you find it you can quit you current job.

ha ha same goes for a large proportion of the population of the world

Well I can't leave because they take out heir frustration on my grandmother. When my aunt quit to work for the University of Arkansas they made it harder for her. So I came in and don't wont that to happen to her agian. Its ok though because I only work for 2 days.

To bad that is hard.

You work for 2 days and make under 7 dollars an hour.....how in the world do you survive?
