Power Rangers Season 18!

I looked for a forum about the title above, but found none. So it's to my shock to announce that there will be an 18th season of Power Rangers now that Saban has bought back the rights! Comments anyone?

I've known for a few months now. Apparently from what I read it will be airing on one of the Nickelodeon channels and it's only going to be about 20 episodes.

True but I've gotten word from recent information the number of ranger episode has been bumped up to forty. As well as a new ranger site. It's implied that the new season would be based on the 2009 Samurai Sentai Shinkenger Series. I hope to hear comments on what this new season might entail. Especially since 40 was the original number of ranger episodes planned for season 1 before the show got popular.

40 would be better. Especially if they really are basing that on Shinkenger, who had quite a complex storyline.

This is great news, I'm so glad that Power Rangers has gone back home to Saban.

Personally I hope the Show becomes part of TeenNick. That would allow it remain on the border between just for kids and only for Adults. I mean look at Zedd, he was a lot more creepy than what kid shows have for villains. At least before he married Rita.

I was lost with the Power Rangers after Ninja Storm. After that, it just went down hill for me :/

Don't know yet, but Saban might share PR with both ABC and Nickelodeon. It's been done before with other channels. For instance some Fox Animated shows show fresh episodes on their channel, while allowing older ones to be shown in syndication on others such as Cartoon Network's Adult Swim.

Then you missed some sweet moments in Dino Thunder, and RPM.

I thought just occurred to me. With the upcoming 18th season of Power Rangers, does this mean they'll use the original ending they planed for Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers? That one was Rita and her minions were captured in a magic Jar.

Bulk's Back!

Bulk was a cool character (later on) but he isn't good as a solo character.

No! That mean's viacom is violating it as we speak!! But cool beans! Season 18, woot!

never watched PR only when i zapped throught the programms

i played with two action figures just loved that you could push a button on their back and the head was able to change from helmet to no helmet
now i found out it was the very first season of the power rangers

Well the first episode wasn't nearly as good as every other season, that said it was by no means the worst. A few of the little things that bugged me were the lack of even remotely samurai like clothing, the lack of a proper pilot to introduce the characters was kind of annoying too.

The cast weren't the most convincing but it's Power Rangers what can we expect ya? Well that's a crappy attitude anyway, I have watched every season (which makes me too damned old.) and I know there can be much better actors than the ones we got this year.

I'll need to wait for more episodes to judge the cast better but so far I'm not entirely impressed. They also have a "mega mode" which is there entirely to sell toys, it is used for when they are in the megazord. They also remade the set for while the team is in the megazord and it looks like the designs sat around for about five seconds before saying "Let's make it look like an Ipod." it is lame.

I agree on the pilot issue, but there are a few good points as well. For one the idea that there is a price to pay as a ranger, distancing yourself from others for their safety. Another is that since Saban is once again in charge, some old features are back, such as more use of the Sentai footage for the villains. That means a more serious attitude. Though I know in some seasons an original villain was better due to a silly Sentai villain. At any rate hopefully they get things straight and start putting these episodes in order.

Ya but it's not like it was their idea the lifted the plot of the episode right from the Sentai it's based on, so I can't give them props for a good story when it isn't theirs.
