| So sad to hear. Didnt know Joana as much as some of you but defintly remember her back from the old board days - and how I was always blown aways by her impressive super big monsters that she shared with us her on the new one. She will be missed, by us as a community. It is a sad but also a lovely and fitting coincidence that her last gallery was dubbed Ereased but never forgotten - we will not forget you Joana. But as much as we will maybe miss you - I can imagine the loss for your family, your beloved husband ... and most of all your little son Duncan. Growing up without a parent is super hard, losing one so young might be harder. Im quite certain you and Andrew have been the best parents Duncan could have wished for - and I guess Andrew will fight like a lion to protect the son of you two. I dont have much money to give away right now (Covid taking a tall on all of us) but was able to atleast send 10$ to the two of them - its defintly not much, but if every fellow creator of Joana chips in 5, 10, 20 or 50$ together we could fund several hundred. I hope you might read all the nice messages wherever you are right now. I know you will be guarding your loved ones.............................................................................. Does anyone have a template or micro by her of her Eraser alter ego? Or can tell me more about her powers or Devinity Stars powers? I figured out that Eraser probably could change gender because there have been male and female versions and Matt often did male and female versions of Joana when he created Creator-Verses. Devinity always seemed like a mixed Angel-Demonic character. Sometimes depicted with ice/water and fire powers for the two halves - am I right about any of these guesses? All I could find are in her old gallery (besides a rendition of Matt but I dont know how much of this are his own design ideas). I wanted to integrate her in my Marvel New Dawn universe as an original character and would have used her DevinityStar outfit - but as she said her DevinityStar alias was created to overcome a life crisis Im not 100% sure if it wouldnt be better to create the memorian micro of Eraser instead. These are the micros done by herself I found of both alter egos. Which one would you use as a basis? Devinity Star   Eraser

| I was in shock to hear about this, I too hadn't known her as well as others have. But she was always supportive of us and the younger members. she always gave good feedback. She will be missed dearly on this site. My condolences goes out to her family and loved ones. | |

| Joana erased but known as Devinity Star f.l.t.r.: in uniform of the Erased-Sisters of the Devine Star hooded/unhooded, ascended to the status of Devinity Star with its golden armor and crown Born on the 2nd largest dwarf planet of our solar system Eris (named after the greek godess of strife and discord) the young girl Joana stood out from other newborns: one eye bright blue, the other one flaming red. A genetic disorder that occurs in one out of 50.000 female births. As all the other girls born with the Eyes of Eris Joana was taken from her parents and her last name was erased. She was raised by the priestess of the Sisterhood of the Devine Star a zealot religious group. In the religioius belive of the erian people the planet was protected by the duality of their protective godess Eris. The so called Erased-Sisters were raised to become the perfect vessel for the powers of their godess. They belived that whenever their planet should be in need of protection their guardian would bestow a portion of her powers in one of the Erased-Sisters transforming her in the so called Devinity Star. Not the best backstory so far - defintly has to be improved. This is a memorian micro to honor our fellow creator Joana. Therfor I mostly knew her in her Devinity Star days thats what I used as a base. Credit goes to Dragonfist of whom I used many clothes and Darkpyhre of whom I stole the star at her belt to create her. The rest are mostly lines that I took from Joanas micros to honor her.  Her crown, golden bindings at arms and legs + belt are based on her Devinity Star alter ego. The lines of the breastplate are taken from her micro of her Eraser alter ego. The dark blueish power aura is a shrunken and recoloured Monster-Micro she created. Farwell Joana. I hope you are at a good place of which you can guard over your husband Andrew and son Duncan. | |
