if anything I'd call him veggie-san =\ veggie-chan would imply that he is a female XD

the suffix -chan can be can be used for males.

-chan is usually used to address females members of your family or children. It can also be used towars animals, intimate friends, lovers, or people you have known since childhood.

-chan can aslo be use to form pet names for celebrities.

Well, I don't speak japanese either. I know a few words and a few things about the culture (mainly because I love mangas) and if I have a doubt on what I'm about to say, I go on wikipedia or some other web site to find informations.

Your Cell is a good start. the two markings on his face (decending from the eyes) should be light purple. And I think the green of his body should be lighter too.
