Been gone for almost 3 months, figured I'd show you guys something I started working on last week.
Just ignore the Gordon Freeman head, I like it's size and have yet to make a generic template the same size.
Mark IV: Mark VI: War Machine:
I know the heads kind of seem undersized and the armor looks extra bulky, but that was sort of the idea, after all, it's not a skin suit they're wearing.

The whole IM2 armor collection will be the final project, along with War Machine, the drones, maybe Whiplash, and maybe a few of the toy variants and a new Hulkbuster design. Also I'm making a template background like what's seen here for anyone else that wants to make their own armor.
I'd prefer it if no one edited my stuff for the time being, at least until I get the whole set together.

Yeah, the Mark V is on the list, just need to get a good reference, so either I'll need to pick up the toy version or get someone to scan those cards that come with it.

Another little teaser, got the shape down, just need to work on the detailing.

With your suggestion I pounded this out in a couple hours. Still not done, I don't have any references for the legs yet, hopefully when it's all done I might do an animation of it going on... maybe.

Behold, the Mark V (aka Silver Centurion armor).

The reason it doesn't have Iron Man's signature gold and red color scheme is because due to the fact that in order to have it able to collapse into a suitcase, Tony had to sacrifice the ability for this suit to fly, therefore not needing the gold-titanium alloy that prevents icing at higher altitudes.
Faceplate, hands, and boots were based on Spade13's, which were modified versions of mine, so it sort of has come full circle. :p

Oddly enough, Jonathan Coulton music is a great motivator.

It looks very nice man. It's really impressive. Can't wait to see War Machine and the Mark Iv finished.

By the way, are you sure this one is called the Mark V ?

At least according to the toys, yes.

According to that toy, I did the hip wrong, I'll wait until more references from the movie come out before changing it, right now it matches what I can see from the new trailer.

Plus, it would make sense. Mark I in the cave, Mark II prototype flight suit, Mark III retired, Mark IV was the upgraded version, and the Mark VI is the Extremis style, so all that's left is the Mark V.
I'm still going to call it the Silver Centurion though, since I prefer a unique one instead of just a recolor.

The Mark VI is shaping up well at the moment, War Machine's on the back burner until the MkVI is ready to be shaded. If anyone's got some concept armor ideas, throw them my way in a PM, I'm up for a challenge.

I like it. Lots of detail work in small spaces, that is very hard on armor so you get my compliments for pulling it off.
