| Hahaha thank you very much guys! It took me 8 hours (4 hours in two days...) to get it done. http://ui26.gamespot.com/57/ss12hires_2.jpg This is the ref I used. About the plasma blades, I tried everything to make them look good, as Santi said once, when you get tired, there's nothing you can do...I had to ask for help and an image editor called "Photoimpression" was my last hope. And in fact, that Protoss Zealot was just a warm up, my aim is this freak: http://images.wikia.com/starcraft/images/a/a9/Super_Zealot.jpg A Protoss Blitzer. - Devon wrote:
- You're micros look more like Game Sprites, since they are always custom. Have you ever thought about going into a career of spriting? I came from spriting, and that proved a little difficult, so, I turned to Micro Heroes. But it seems like you should give sprites a shot.
If you don't know what that means. It's when you make a few images of one character, say, them walking, so, when it's in game, the animation runs smoothly.
So, instead of spending a long time on one large image, you spend a long time on several small images to make a Sprite Sheet. Thanks for the tip. I do know about them. I've joined some Sprite Boards but never posted much. Actually, I see microheroes as a much more difficult "art" than Spriting. Sometimes I micro, sometimes I just draw big useless things. I tried some sprite edits too, but they looked to easy, that's why I turned to micros. What can I do? They love me, and I'm addicted to them. P.S.: You know what's interesting? Felis7 once told me the same thing. | |

| Strider: D@*%mmit, Bill, that's beyond great. That's beyond fantastic, it's too awesome! The shines, the robot, the microer, the thing, the stuff on the micro, and the micro itself makes me faint for a year. Greatly, amazingly, superly, fantasticly, awesomely, realistically, tightly, astonishingly job. I like your microheroes by the way you make it, the way you put style on it, the way it looks (just awesome!), and the effects on Paint. | |
