| Too early to judge but...Lurkers? Leechs? Lazyness? Lasagna?
Dax was the kind of admin who would clean the house once in a while, I'm not sure of his whereabouts but he would do that.
We have more than 700 members and only nearly 100 is "active".
About my thoughts: I won't miss them...

| We recently made a clean up of that "no post" members. We deleted about a third part of the total member list, Fudge erases them. But looks like they are coming again. My opininion, I would delete inmediately every member who would is introduction shorter than a line. We don´t need them. | |

| another thing is when they say "hey look at my new micro i made!" when its just a recolour of someone elses or its just one theyv'e got off a another micro site. now THAT is really annoying (yes iv'e got my b***hing head on ) now if they changed it significantly it would'nt be so bad... | |

| Most of the time it's because they don't know about micro etiquette. It's usually best to explain the rules to them rather than jump on the offensive, it only causes a riot in that person's thread. | |

| Yup a lot of people start that way, congratulate them on making a start no matter how small or bad and then we can push them and soon after like one lesson they'll be at your level. Yes iv'e got my b***hing head on Now that i've got that out of my system, you should realise by now that pretty much everyone starts with other's stuff. If they didn't we probably wouldn't even have a community. The right thing to do is to just push and guide the new comers, show them the right path and help them to improve | |

| So this is the offical bashing thread?! Cool! I'll give it shot too! I have nothing against recolors as long as credit/respect is properly given. - koosh wrote:

Exactly, many people call me "hot-head" in this subject, but I honestly gave up dealing with this issue. Waste of time. Wanna see an example? Twizted giant temps. _ My Zangief_Alex's Overtkill. First of all, I'm not accusing him of anything nor it bothers me, just an example: You see, when I decided to micro Zangief, I didn't want to use the template provided, instead I had a REALLY REALLY hard f***ing time editing all the muscles and stuff to make the character looks more unique, I pratically made a whole new micro out of Twizted temp instead of just adding boots, pants and bodyhair. When Alex decided to micro Overtkill, he probably just picked my Zangief and made his micro on it, everything is the same except the face and some minor edits on the chest, and he didn't credit me. When I approached him (back at IC) he just said something like: "yeah, alot of bodyhair to erase". And that's it. Period. He probably thought I used a template with those characteristics and by not finding it anywhere in the net, made his micro over mine. I don't know, if he reads this, he's more than free to make his defense. I got pissed? Yeah. I wanted to kill? For a moment yeah...hahaha. And now he clearly states in his sig 'IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE PARTS OF MY MICROS, PLEASE ASK', but again, he didn't ask me to use my micro to make his. My point is, "micro etiquette" is controversial and volatile, it's not a rule, it's common sense. Cheatah, if you get annoyed everytime someone recolors/copy-paste another's work you'll get mad and stressed for no big deal. It reminds me of that witch-hunt promoted months ago against a guy stealing our work and I didn't participate, I saw mine and friends works there without permission and didn't move a finger against him. What for? Sue him? Curse him? Fill his e-mail box with threats? Credit is good, just like respect, what about fun? Life is more than microheroes you know? He Alex buddy, I'm not mad at you, misunderstandings always happen.

| maybe when they introduce themselves the first person to say "hi welcome to MIB! " should tell them to look in the help and rules sections that way i think there'd be less people taking and recolouring other peoples micros... | |

| I agree with the idea of someone letting the new guys know of the ettitquite of things. But let a Moderator or Administrator do it, it feels like your more welcomed. Thats the way it was with me on the Micro Heroes Board. Don't remember who it was but it was a Moderator. And if they make mistakes like triple or double posting dont just jump on them like some have on this board, in a cool manner send a pm explaining what happened. So this way when the thread is fixed there aint a lot of posts beeing deleted. And I like it when they use a peice from another board or from the creator let that person pm them before someone bashes them or if you know who did it, send a pm and explain things so though can give credit. And sometimes when someone joins it might be a bit before they can do a thread. I meen it took me a week to do my first on on MIB1 because I had 2 jobs then. But if you have joined and after a month you only have 1 post and only lerk or the only posts you have are responses to others you don't need to be here. | |

F***ing True!! That's why I got pissed just for a few hours... Yeah Omnis is right. (this time! hahaha) Instead of multiple riots in someone's thread, a simple (friendly) warning from any mod will surely avoid trouble posts, anger feelings and future embarrassment. And how members can help? 1 - pm a mod 2 - pm the idio...member not aware of the rules 3 - avoid protesting on his thread to make him look bad and you the victim. 4 - Let a mod solve the problem 5 - Avoid pm wars. They are soooooo lame and boring. "Your mom this, your mom that". Shameful... 6 - No six. 7 - Let a mod solve the problem? Oh, and patience helps alot too... - Quote :
