Yeah, I guess so. I've been using the DTB name for a years now. I've just never really given much thought to it. The name (to me) is just something to use in online forums (much like this one). - Reverend.Slaughter wrote:
- and Beaverman seems to fit the bill......
If he was going to be a hero, I doubt he'd call himself something like "Beaverman". - Reverend.Slaughter wrote:
- but what might his powers be? Able to build strong buildings (on a river) with a single.... uuhh... building gesture. Able to smash enemies with his mighty tail? To chew the s**t outta some trees?
Does he even have to have powers? Can't he just be some dude in a suit that is somewhat based on the Castor canadensis (the common North American Beaver's scientific name). - Reverend.Slaughter wrote:
- Or to rightly kick ass and taking names!
Why would he be kicking Donkeys' & preforming Identity Theft? - RayneKirby wrote:

He is cool, I just thought I'd do my own version. As for me "needing one" I don't know. I'm perfectly fine with having no defining look for "Da Talking Beaver".

| I just called him Beaverman cause he's a Man dressed as a beaver, I wasn't expecting that to be his offical name. Come on, if I were to name him, I could do better then Beaverman. | |

Yes but it's catchy which means it will stick with people so they'll going to remember it & use it. - Devon_Farmer wrote:

Well, you do have a character named Bug. So, if you were going to give that micro an official name: what would you call him?

| Hmm, lets see here.
Beaverman is the obvious choice, but it sounds too... Silver Aged.
Hmm, maybe I bit off more then I could chew. The Beaver is all I can think of.

| Those could work except for The Castor, people might not know what that is & they might think the name is The Castrator & then wonder why they're dressed as a beaver? | |

So yes. This fact has been pointed out before. To me, it would seem highly improbable to find a name for a Beaver based character that did not sound retarded, or could be easily used as innuendo, or be misconstrued as something else. Which is possibly why Beaver based superheros don't really exist in mainstream culture. Thankfully, the username isn't "Da Talking Platypus"

I created the name "Da Talking Beaver" in a joking manner, it's not really meant to be taken seriously. - Reverend.Slaughter wrote:

My name is obscurely inspired by a character from a comic book, so Beavers are out there: you just have look for them. - Reverend.Slaughter wrote:
