| There are many implausibilities that have puzzled me from Star Wars... The most current, is this one... .... seeing as how the Mon Calamari are considered an aquatic species with eyes, mouths and general body structure as most earthly fish, and LESS like whales, dolphins or other aquatic mammals, WHY would a Mon Calamari female have breasts? It would be a natural assumption based on the other aquatic evolutionary traits, that the Mon Calamari would be egg layers, and not the type to give birth to live animals that would breastfeed..... REMEMBER - This is an imaginary universe, so these debates are moot because they don't really exist. BUT, lets see what we can come up with, as if they did exist... | |

| Well, I KNOW that... But, lets PRETEND that this creature exists. Why would it have "breasts"? | |

| And, in a simultaneous debate, where would a Sarlacc poop? And, what would it poop? and how does it mate, to exist? And why would it matter if you were digested over a thousand years, if you suffocated within the first couple minutes you were swallowed? | |

| I think the Mon Calimari might have been surface dwellers at one time and have evolved into the aquatic people of now. And as for the Sarlacc maybe they are like giant worms and they mate and escrement like they do. Andas for the digestive system it might take a really long time for them to break down the minerals in the food they eat. | |

| my guess sarlaccs are somewhat symbiotic in nature using what it eats to create new life then spit it out and i guess it would use everything so it wouldnt need to excreet anything | |

| SO, maybe we are straying a bit from "why do they have breasts", thing. I like the theory that they lay eggs, and then the offspring need to breastfeed. That actually sounds plausible.
But, the Sarlacc issue still makes me wonder.
As all of the species on Tatooine. What do banthas, womp rats, Krayt Dragons, all of the indiginous species eat to survive? how did they evolve in the desert? Is is possible that Tattooine used to be a lush, green planet, and the species evolved, and then it turned to desert?

duh eachother Duh, natural selection, then, would have eliminated them through the fact that the food chain has to start somewhere, and end somewhere. If one eats the other then the other, so on and so forth, what does the FIRST one eat? Sand?! What?

| it would look..... well thats a good idea maybe somebody should take that project up, and on the whole Tatooine issue yea like he said eachother but, it also depends on the fact that womp rats prolly couldnt eat a bantha and a bantha prolly wants little to do with a womp rat | |
