Princess Mononoke was the first of his films for me as well I would DIE for a San and the dude...can't believe I'm blanking on his name

I knew it was an A! Forgive me, I've had Howl on my head for the past few days lol

I think what I loved most about Howl's Moving Castle was the Steampunk aesthetic to everything. All the cogs and wheels and magic making them spin... it LOOKED like a wonderful place to be.

As for Princess Mononoke... you've got a girl riding a wolf... seriously, what's NOT to love?

I was introduced to manga back in junior high when my Social Studies teacher made copies of Nausicaa available to us to read. I fell in love with the look back then. And yes, that was a VERY long time ago (1989 or 1990). I still don't read American comic books, but the manga/anime look will capture my eyes every time.

So I'm loving these micros from you, TTA. Excellently done and I look forward to seeing whatever other characters you feel that you are up to the challenge of producing. Thank you for sharing your gift with all of us.

I'm pretty dark in my anime; I fell in love with Vampire Hunter D's animation style and get kinda picky with my choices.

Yes! I agree with a few of these: Basilisk, ANYTHING Miyazaki ('cept maybe Totoro), Mermaid Forest, and Claymore.
I also recommend Slayers for laughs because it's ridiculous - though it has nothing to do with the darker.
If you want a really twisted, macabre series, I'd say Narutaru.

This micro was inspired by Haydnc95's ragged dress temp. I envisioned a drowned maiden and so was born Irish lass Bridget O'Malley. Lil crappy poem I wrote bout her:

"Flame haired lass with eyes of blue,
met a sailor whose love was true,
pledged in troth once was she,
until her love was lost at sea,
so now she haunts the mist strewn shores,
searching for her love once more"
