I think I still owe everyone Maxamillian from Black Hole AND I really have to learn how to shade properly. So far I've just been mimicing and the result has been hit and miss.

Thanks all! I'm still tinkering with it. Every 'face' I've tried never comes out looking quite right. Mostly too rudimentary, if you know what I mean.

Plus I think the scale may be off, as in I think he may be a bit short and thin.

I'm reluctant to try and colour him as he is mostly all black and as you have seen, my colouring/shading leaves a little to be desired.

I working on a companion piece for him, B9 from the original Lost in Space TV show. I think my problem stem from the fact I'm using action figures as a basis for my drawings.

First, Sorry for your loss. Second, Robbie is sweet looking so far S@S.

Done! Now to colour. I still think I need to work on the arms a bit, add some more dimension but...

The outline for Robbie looks perfect, don't change a thing.

I started to colour it, mainly just to help put dimension to the claws. Very Frank Millerish. Not that I'm proud of that. Not a huge fan of his movies.

Really start with B9, it looks great.

Seems I'm on a robot kick lately. I find building them from scratch easier than trying to make living things from scratch. The one human I 'built' , River Tam in her Serenity pose, still had some parts modified from the templates section, like the hair and face.

Oh well, such is the learning curve.

I must see more!!!!
