Reread the clue for 5 again... particularly the first word... there is a connotation in that that proves the previous guesses are incorrect.

I've yet to see #2 made as a micro, only Necroleaf has made this post-schism look for 3, 4 was made by Blanchett, and almost everyone has made 5 by now...

Yup, I'd been referring to Medusa from Classic myth. Marlene is/was the modern equivalent, even to the point of turning herself into stone.

This mutant I am referring to is/was not a vamp, but was the reincarnation of his wife, Maria, who was murdered in Dracula Lives #2 (no, this char is not from that issue, so don't check it).
She also, incidentally, looks *JUST* like Maria... so much so that when the two characters meet, he can't distinguish past from present.
