Well, at least no one can say that I haven’t been busy while I was away.

I do want to thank Dark Riku & Anth for their kind comments. It’s always nice to hear from fellow Micro-Heads.

By the way, I did UPDATE a few of the Invaders “Villains”… so be sure to check them out!

Frankenstein's Monster – Page 5 – Removed Kirk Douglas “cleft” from chin. (He’s not Sparticus!)

Iron Cross – Page 5 – Tweaked “Standard” Micro (I may yet Animate him… but I’m not sure.)

Sky Shark – Page 5 – Various Costume versions - AND - All are Animated.

Yellow Claw – Page 5 – Added powerful “Hypnotic Stare”. (Oooo… spooky.)


Now, on the down side… this will be the last installment of Invaders “Villains”… although I may try may hand at an “alternate version” of “Super Axis”… but who knows. If I do decide to make any other Invaders “Villains”, I’ll be sure let ya’ll know because “if” I do make any others, I plan to put them in alphabetical order on their corresponding pages. (Either Page 4 or Page 5)

Well, I’ve been pretty busy double-checking and sending Micros to my cousins, as well as taking a “look back” at some of our fellow Micro-Artists. But surprise, surprise… I actually have a few Micros for ya’ll.

- It’s about freakin’ time!

Who said that?

Anywho, I just want to thank everyone for all their kind words regarding my last batch of Micros, and I certainly hope that I’ll be able to live up to ya’lls expectations… especially with “this” batch of Micros, because as I had stated in a previous post… “The upcoming Heroes were actually some of my first attempts at making Micros.” I say this because some of them are “Tweaked” or “Frankensteined”, so while I “am” going to post them… I must also give an enormous “KUDOS” to the original Micro-Artists who originally designed them.

So now… without further delay, I give you…

A few Pre-Invaders “HEROES”!!!

Pre-Invaders – Captain America (“Tweaked”)

First up we have Pvt. Steve Rogers kitted out for some military action.



(Note: For Pvt. Rogers, I simply added a rifle and backpack to the original Micro.)


Next, we have J. Buchanan ''Bucky'' Barnes. Official camp mascot to Camp Lehigh, Virginia… the same camp in which Steve Rogers was stationed.



(Note: For Bucky, I simply added a helmet, camera, and spare flashbulb pack to the original Micro.)


Next up is everyone’s favorite hot-headed Sergeant… Sgt. Duffy.



INFO: Enlisted men were often playing practical jokes on Sgt. Duffy, and Pvt. Rogers was always blamed for them, mainly because Rogers somehow managed to have an accident involving Duffy every other issue. Guess Pvt. Rogers was trying to keep that whole… “I’m also Captain America” thing hush-hush.

(Note: For Sgt. Duffy I simply did a complete head and body swap.)


Next, we have the lovely Agent X-13.



INFO: Agent X-13 was a young woman disguised as an old woman who ran a curio shop. Hidden within the shop was the secret lab of the Super-Soldier Project.

(Note: For Agent X-13 I simply took a "May Jane Watson" Micro, erased her, re-colored her outfit, and did a little jiggery-poke to the original A-13 Micro. Oh! I also had to cut a bit of her head off to make the hat fit. Who knew that Micros screamed??? )


Lastly, we have Captain America himself.



(Note: For this version of Cap. I simply erased his original “triangular” shield and gave him his round one from another Micro.)


Well… that’s about all for Pre-Invaders - Captain America.


Next we have…

Pre-Invaders – Sub-Mariner (“Tweaked”)

First, we have the man without whom the Namor would have ever been… Captain Leonard McKenzie … Namor's Father.



(Note: I did this one so long ago, I don’t remember exactly how I did it. I think it was another head and body swap, with a slight “Tweaking” of the head.)


Next, we have the Sub-Mariner himself disguised as a sailor.



(Note: I simply took a “Subbie” Micro, erased “Subbie”, and “Tweaked” the uniform to fit a “Sub-Mariner” Micro... although his uniform turned out a bit more grayer that I would have liked.)

Lastly… we have the Sub-Mariner in action mode. Imperious Rex!




Well… that’s all for Pre-Invaders – Sub-Mariner.


Next we have…

Pre-Invaders – Human Torch (I) (“Tweaked”… but “Animated”)

First we have… HT breaking free from his Activation Chamber.

By the way, I still don’t know how some of the transparencies came about??? I mean... to this day I "still" haven’t figured out that whole “Transparent” background trick.

First of all… I want to thank to everyone who gave me the “thumbs up” for my last batch of Micros. Like I said before, I still don’t know how those transparencies came about… even though I’ve tried time and time again to repeat the process. Looks like those, along with “Spider Queen” from my “BATTLE AXIS” post, was just “extremely” dumb luck on my part.

OH! I don’t remember if I told ya’ll (memory not being my strongest suit), but a while back I got a nice surprise. I swung by Ze Ball Breaker’s site to double-check some Micros to send to my cousins, when lo’ and behold I actually found some of my Invaders villains posted there. At first I thought… “Cool… new villains!” Then I thought… “Hey… those look familiar.” And then I thought…“Holy Crap! Those are My Villains!!!”

So, to ZBB I’d just like to say “Thank You”. I’ve been collecting Micro Heroes for a long time, but I never thought that I’d ever have any of “My Micros” posted on such a well-respected site. So again… Thank you.

Ok, well, before I actually start to grow some kind of an ego, I’d best post this new batch of Micros.

Crusaders - "Tweaked"


1… A member of the “Crusaders”… Dyna-Mite.

2… Another member of the “Crusaders”… A re-vamped version of Thunderfist.



INFO-1: Although neither character was ever an “Invader”, they (along with their fellow “Crusaders”) not only fought along side of the Invaders… but was convinced by 'Alfie'; a Nazi double agent, to actually “battle” the Invaders, believing them to be a Nazi Super Team.

INFO-2: Although Thunderfist seems to have disappeared after WW II, Dyna-Mite went on to become the Destoyer – AND – later became a member of the “All-Winners Squad”.

INFO-3: Yet another unexplained "Transparant" background???


Liberty Legion - "Tweaked"

3… A member of the “Liberty Legion”… Jack Frost.

INFO: Even though Jack Frost and Red Raven were never an “Invader”, they (along with the “Liberty Legion”) did fight along side of the Invaders a few times.

V-Battalion - "Tweaked"

6… A member of “V-Battalion's Penance Council”… Goldfire, a.k.a. Ameiko Sabuki, the solar-powered granddaughter of Golden Girl (II).



INFO: The V-Battalion, led by Citizen V, fought in occupied Europe, in France and later in Poland during WW II. After the death of the original Citizen V, the V-Battalion disbanded, but after the war, Roger Aubrey (a.k.a. the Destroyer), met with the “All-Winners Squad” and decided to create a superhuman fighting force on an international scale. In 1951 Aubrey formed the second V-Battalion, and since then the group has been covertly fighting criminals and super villains across the globe. V-Battalion is based in the Eastern European nation of Symkaria; operating from Castle Masada, and are led by the Penance Council.

(Note: Since I wasn’t able to locate an actual picture of Goldfire, this is simply what I imagine her to look like… although I could be waaaaaaaay off.)


Well, that's about all for today.

As ya'll can tell… not only do I collect Micro Heroes… I also try to obtain whatever info I can regarding the character’s origin. And “Yes”… my hard drive “is” getting pretty packed. HA!

BONUS MICRO!!!





The Yankee Clipper (I) was a former teammate of the trio of WW II superheroes who fought against the Axis powers, which dominated Europe from 1941 to 1945. She fought bravely alongside her three fellow comrades: Crimson Commando, Stonewall and Super Sabre.

Sadly though… sometime during the final days of WW II, the Yankee Clipper (I) was severely wounded and died.


NOTE 1: No ''actual'' information was ever given on the Yankee Clipper (I)'s origin or powers, but given her name (the ''Yankee Clipper'' was actually a whaling ship), its believed that her powers were sea-related, perhaps along the lines of the Sub-Mariner's cousin, Namora.

NOTE 2: Since there is no actual picture of the Yankee Clipper (I), her Micro is simply how I imagined her to look.

Just wanted to let ya'll know that I hope to post a few Micros later tonight, but I'm having a problem with Photobucket. Everytime I try to access it, an "Active X" window pops up and knocks me off. It's really ticking me off!

But... like I said... I do hope to post a few Micros later tonight.

One way... or another.

Anywho, if ya’ll haven’t gone back to revisit some of our past Micro-Artists lately, I highly recommend that ya’ll do. True, while I’m not 100% sure if all of them are still members… I know that I’ve certainly seen a bunch of pretty cool Micros… as well as a few updates that I’ve missed.

By the way, I want to thank ya’ll once again for all your kind words and input.

Speaking of which…

Hyperman, I see what you mean, and I certainly didn’t mean to step on any of your creative toes… guess that’s why they call it Frankensteining. (Wink, wink) But seriously, I was really glad to see that you added your web info to your post. I remember that when I first started out collecting Micro Heroes, your’s… along with Golden Age Heroes & Zeros, the Golden Age Hero Directory, the Microhero and Pixelhero Archive, and of course… Ze Ball Breaker Micro-Heroes Site… were the main sites to scope out first!!! Shoot… most of my hard-drive is loaded with Micros.

So, thank you for all your wonderful work… and for getting me hooked on these little buggers. HA!

Frankensteining (Taking parts from different micros and putting them together to make a new micro) is at the heart of making micros. We all to it. Your Yankee Clipper is a true frankensteined micro. Your Goldfire is a recoloring of my Golden Girl micro.

I'm not so insecure that I am upset. I appreciate your reponse and I only wish you the best. I have enjoyed your various animations since I joined the board.

Well, it took a little doing… and “a lot” of aggravation… but I managed to break into my Photobucket gallery, and abscond with my Direct Link codes. GADS!!!

Also, a big “Thanks” to Elph (a.k.a. Hyperman) for your comments and best wishes. It’s true… We all do it... “Frankensteining”… in one form or another. Even my “Weapons Accessories” on Page 1 were reconstructed from a single weapon temp, not to mention the re-coloring and re-sizing for my “Incetoids” and “Lava Men”. And if it weren't for a few bits and pieces from a Davros Micro… none of my Bots, Lab Equipment, or Robo-Sentries would have ever seen the light of day.

So... is it any wonder that I call myself… “Dr. Microstein”???

Oh! And lets not forget about my “Invaders” Villains or Pre-Invaders Micros. Face it… without the temps from previous (or future) Micro-Artists… this… and other Micro-Hero groups (and sites) would be few and far between. Besides… if it weren’t for making Micros, I’d probably be out looting and pillaging some poor unsuspecting town and or village. HA!

I guess what I’m trying to say, is that in my mind, I’ll always be a newbie no matter how “animated” I make some of my Micros, (shoot... I still can't figure out that whole "transparent" background thing), and I’ll always be grateful to all those Micro-Making Pioneers who made all this Micro Madness possible. So Kudos… “KUDOS!!!” one and all!!!

It’s Micro Time!!!


Ok, this batch of Micros will be “slightly” different because (Surprise! Surprise!) I actually took a stab at whipping up a few Micros for a fellow Micro-Head (Lionking) and his Universe (Wild, Wild West).

So, while I “will” be re-posting the background info… I’ll also be posting a few Micros that I didn’t include… until “now”.


Wild, Wild West

Background Info -

See, with the aid of my “Way-Back Machine”, I was actually able to go back in time and lease a small parcel of land in 1847 from John Sutter for 1 year - from Jan. 1, 1847 to Dec. 31. 1847. You may recall that Gold was discovered at Sutter’s Mill on Jan. 25, 1848, thus beginning the historical “Gold Rush”.

Truth be told… only half of the actual amount of Gold was ever found, because during the year that “I” was there, I had set up a number of Temporal Displacement Generators and had a few hundred of my bots locate and mine the precious ore. In fact, with the TDGs in place no one ever knew what was going on, because the entire area looked exactly the same… day after day after day. Hey, it’s never good to upset the locals.

(1847 - "Karaoke Night")

Now, not wanting to call attention to myself, I opened a small Fix-It Shoppe next to the local Barber Shoppe… I think the owner’s name was Floyd… or something like that. Anywho, by day I tinkered away in my shop and visited with the locals, and by night I’d hit the town and attempt some Karaoke at the local Saloon… some nights were better than others. Eventually I established myself as a well-respected citizen… and all-around good guy. Although… not all the ladies in town felt the same. That’s right… some of them were squishier than others. Oh Yeah!!!

Hey… I was there for a year! I was lonely. Cut me some slack. (Wink, wink)

Anywho, just before my land lease was up, I sold my shop… said my good-byes… (nailed the school marm)… (again!)… and headed out of town. One month later, Gold was discovered at Sutter’s Mill… although not as much as stated within our History books. See, with my TDGs going at full blast, my bots were actually able to squeeze 10 years of mining out of the 1 year that I was there. Neat trick… ain’t it.

Now, some of you are probably saying… “Hey Dr. M… why are you messin’ with History. You can’t change the past… without changin’ our present. What are you… Nuts???”

Yeah… and I have the papers to prove it. HA!

But seriously, even though I “appropriated” some funds during my stay in 1847… Gold “was” discovered at Sutter’s Mill on Jan. 25, 1848… and the Timeline remained in tacked. Now, if I had stopped the discovery of the Gold, or brought about the Gold Rush 1 year earlier… “then” I would have altered History as we know it. So, while I didn’t exactly break the Laws of Time… I did bend them a little bit.

Just in case ya’ll aren’t too crazy about that Micro… I do have a back up.

Occupation – Hired Gun & Bounty Hunter

Affiliation – Can you even pay my price. $$$

Kendell Curtis is the highest paid hired gun in the Wild, Wild West, and he doesn’t take any crap from anyone… including Sheriffs, Marshals, Mayors or Governors. Once Kendell is hired, you better damn well have his money ready once the job is finished… or else.

One time, someone tried to short Kendell $100.00 for bringing in one of the territories most wanted… Kendell hog-tied the welcher to the town’s church bell and rang it until the sidewinder paid up.

Another time, while an entire town and its local officials had turned a blind eye to the raping of a dancehall girl, Kendell hunted the man down and skinned and gutted him. Later, Kendell rode back into town with the man’s husk tied to a pole. Once in front of the Sheriff’s office, Kendell through the husk into the gathering crowd and said…

“Thought your town could use a new flag.”

He then rode off.

Even though Kendell was never hired for that particular job… he just felt that it was the right thing to do.

Kendell himself has been shot, stabbed, strung up and left for dead more times than a body can count, never the less… he’s never failed in completing a job. He “is” the best and his body count is legendary. It’s also been said that while crossing him is shear suicide… killing him really makes him mad.

Kendell Curtis is the Judge, Jury and Executioner of the Wild, Wild West.



(This use to be a mighty pretty little town. But then... they up an killed me... that's when I got mad. Oh well... Ashes to Ashes. )
