And now.. because Bizarro_liberty_legion asked for it, here are Clarityverse reimaginings of some characters he posted in this thread earlier...


General Chernobyl
Real Name: Gennady Mihailov
Powers: General Chernobyl can manipulate radiation for various effects such as creating forcefields or firing blasts of energy.
Backstory: Gennady Mihailov was the brother of Konstantin Mihailov, a.k.a. Captain Russia. Although a brilliant scientist, Gennady became obsessively jealous of his brother's accomplishments. Finally, his jealousy reached a boiling point, and he became insane. He exposed himself to a radioactive experiment to gain powers like his brother, but his assistants, David and Boris, tried to stop him when a fatal error occured. In the resulting explosion, all three were flung out of the laboratory. Gennady, who had been in the center of the chaos, found himself transformed into a radioactive being of great power. Calling himself General Chernobyl, he blamed his disaster on Captain Russia and sought to destroy him.


Hard Hammer
Real Name: David Turgenov
Powers: Hard Hammer can materialize a psionic hammer that can strike with incredible force in addition to being a skilled fighter.
Backstory: Mutated in the same accident as Gennady Mihailov and his own brother Boris, David Turgenov used his powers to join the Moscow Force as Hard Hammer.


Swift Sickle
Real Name: Boris Turgenov
Powers: Swift Sickle can materialize a psionic sickle that can slice through most materials in addition to being a skilled fighter.
Backstory: Mutated in the same accident as Gennady Mihailov and his own brother David, Boris Turgenov used his powers to join the Moscow Force as Swift Sickle.

Heartbreak
Real Name: Alyssa Edison
Powers: Heartbreak has enhanced speed, strength, agility and stamina. With waves from her eyes, she can alter another person's emotions, causing them to feel any emotion she desires.
Backstory: Alyssa Edison was a hopeless delinquent, who one day was kidnapped off the street by agents of the Prodigy, looking for test subjects. Subjected to experiments, she soon started exhibiting superhuman powers that she instinctively used to escape. Calling herself Heart Attack, she started to lead her own gang of riffraff. Once, she tried to strike a deal with the villainess Queen Hood, which resulted in the Queen cutting one of Heartbreak's eyes out. After an encounter with the heroine Nocturne ended with Nocturne saving Alyssa's life, she began idolizing the heroine. Eventually deciding to emulate her, Alyssa began performing heroic deeds, but when she was one of the many attacked by the villainess Misery, her other eye was cut out as well. Fortunately, her eyes were later restored by the magical hero Mister Magician, and Heartbreak once more began fighting crime.


Slicing Man
Real Name: Malcolm Rocks
Powers: Slicing Man can create incredibly sharp metallic blades from his body at will.
Backstory: Malcolm Rocks was one of countless criminals who paid the Prodigy to give him a superhuman identity. With his newfound powers, he became the Slicing Man.


Superheater
Real Name: Karl Cody
Powers: Superheater wears a suit that can fire incredibly hot flaming blasts.
Backstory: Karl Cody was one of countless criminals who paid the Prodigy to give him a superhuman identity. With his newfound powers, he became Superheater.

I love a lot the Prodigy manufactured villains. There are few female master manipulators in comics.

I was thinking on Ibis the Invincible rather than Sargon the Sorcerer.

Yeah. I also have the Prodigy because I became stunned at how many brilliant geniuses there were in DC and Marvel who only made one invention in their history.. as well as how many of these geniuses just used that invention for a criminal career. So I figure why not reduce that amount and have one who's smart enough to make many designs instead. Cue, the Prodigy.

Of course, I did end up with several independents anyway...

Twister
Real Name: Cristopher "Topper" Twist
Powers: Twister's suit can spin at incredibly high speeds, as well as move very fast while it does so. In this state he can even smash through solid walls and cause tremendous winds. Even when not using the spinning function, the suit enhances his strength. Twister also uses a variety of gimmicks related to spinning, such as propeller- or top-related things. He can also fire small but deadly spinning blades from his costume.
Backstory: The Twister was one of the many who sought to use equipment from the Prodigy to strike big in crime.


Schizo
Real Name: Roland/Eva Powers
Powers: Schizo is a combination of two superhumans. Roland possesses superhuman strength, while Eva possesses telekinesis. Schizo can freely switch between their two forms, and take on a third, "split" form, where he/she gains half the powers of both as well as flight.
Backstory: Roland and Eva Powers were a married couple, both of whom had superpowers. However, neither of them had any ambition to use their powers for anything in particular, and thus lived happily on their own. When the cosmic event called the World Collision happened, however, the cosmic energy released accidentally fused the two together. As a merged entity, they went insane, and took to evil as the supervillain Schizo.


Rocket Master
Real Name: Tyler Jones
Powers: Rocket Master uses a variety of rocket-related gadgets, including rocket skateboards, cluster rockets, and more. His wrist launchers can shoot miniature rockets.
Backstory: Rocket Master was one of the many who sought to use equipment from the Prodigy to strike big in crime.


Chime King
Real Name: Richard "Ringo" Bells
Powers: Chime King uses different bells in his crimes. One bell can cause hallucinations to those who hear it, one can emit an ear-deafening noise and one can hypnotize others. He uses a flying, bell-shaped vehicle to travel.
Backstory: When Richard Bells missed an incredibly important meeting due to his car engine being smashed by a falling church bell, his life ended up ruined as he lost his job and his wife. Deciding that bells were the cause of this, he decided to make the world share his pain. Inventing some gimmick bells, he became Chime King, a supervillain.



Ending with a second costume for Corona, and Obsidian, a concept I just didn't have any idea for.

Night Bird
Real Name: Charlie Hawk
Powers: Night Bird's suit gives him the ability to fly, and grants him night vision and superhuman strength.
Backstory: Charlie Hawk was a college student whose home area was crawling with crime. Coming from a rich family, he decided to take the matter in his own hands, and under a false identity contacted the criminal inventor Prodigy. From her, he purchased the Night Bird suit, and used it to become a superhero. Ironically, Night Bird ended up combating several of Prodigy's other creations.


Chemistra
Real Name: Carla Cunningham
Powers: Chemistra has a fragment of the Philosopher's Stone in her ring. By use of her ring, she can transmute any substance into another substance she desires. The effect is not permanent because the fragment is so small, but anything that is shattered, broken, or otherwise destroyed will remain so upon return to normal.
Backstory: Norton Lecter, the Alchemist, once decided to increase his power by acquiring another fragment of the Philosopher's Stone. Together with his assistant, Carla Cunningham, he set out to search for it, but when any time he came close to it his own fragment reacted with unpredictable effects, he decided to abandon his search. Carla, however, pressed on and acquired the piece. Fashioning her own ring and costume, she became Chemistra, hoping to aid the Alchemist, but he promptly fired her, afraid of the effects the two fragments could cause. Undeterred, Chemistra set out on her own, becoming a supervillain in her own right.


Bubbler
Real Name: Dan Carlson
Powers: Bubbler can emit floating bubbles of various size. These are almost impossible to break, although they only last for a few minutes. However, he can encase others in these bubbles to trap them, or throw them at others or use them as floating stepping stones.
Backstory: Dan Carlson was a hobo whom the Operator offered a chance to get his revenge on society. Mutating him and giving him strange powers, Operator named him Bubbler.

Schemers? Hm. They don't really do much other than sell superpowers to people, really. Sure, if they ever wanted to, they could easily become among the biggest menaces ever, but they're far too smart for that. Sticking to what they do they have a profitable and still safe operation going.


King Roland
Real Name: Roland of Baruga/Roland the Brave
Powers: Roland has no superpowers, but is an excellent fighter and skilled in horseriding and the use of swords and bows. He uses the enchanted sword Synxor.
Backstory: Long ago, a couple of interdimensional beings became bored of the stories they heard and decided to make their own stories. Building a gigantic space station dwarfing several planets, they filled it with different huge domes representing different environments. There were, for example, the "future world", the prehistoric worlds, medieval worlds, and worlds of different planets. On a humanlike medieval world lies the kingdom of Baruga, where rules the benevolent monarch King Roland the Brave, who more than once has had to fend off his warring neighbors in the kingdom of Gariga.


Unknown Man
Real Name: Charles Ignaz
Powers: The Unknown Man is a good criminal mastermind.
Backstory: After That Man suffered a series of losses that drastically reduced his sphere of influence, the Unknown Man was one of many rushing to get a slice of the pie.


Red Yahoo
Real Name: Leeroy Tiger
Powers: The Red Yahoo has no powers apart from his stubbornness.
Backstory: Obsessed with the idea of becoming a supervillain, Leeroy Tiger became the Red Yahoo, but at no point ever became any kind of threat. Not even using guns, declaring them not a part of his modus operandi (Despite not really having one), he was never taken seriously by the police, or superheroes, or even the people he tried to rob, threaten or just attack.


Micronizer
Real Name: Stan Kirby
Powers: Micronizer can change the size of any object using his gun. This not only makes him able to reduce things in size but also enlarge them or restore their real size.
Backstory: After Stan Kirby by chance came upon a way to change things' size, he became Micronizer, an insane collector of miniature humans.


Elemental
Real Name: Blaise Coppersmith
Powers: Elemental can fly and summon the four elements. This makes him able to create formations of rock or create strong winds, cascades of water or waves of fire.
Backstory: After Rognell the Future Man tried to use his Element Gun to fire all elements at once, an explosion occured. Innocent bystander Blaise Coppersmith was caught in the explosion, but was left unharmed. Instead, he found he had gained the gun's powers. Using them to defeat Rognell, he then became the hero Elemental.

Imagine an insane Micronizer attacking the UN for collecting the world leaders.
