I wish I could upload it, I do larger, MUCH larger stuff then normal micros, to me I think it'd help....and now I'm rambling. GIMP is overkill, I'm not dissing it, it's a great program, but for something a little simpler like micros, as opposed to photo manips or any type of PhotoShop-like thing, it's just too much. I like simplicity, which is odd, because I'm a complex guy. As for the method to my madness, it's too mad. It'll drive you crazy! Actually, I just switch between tabs over and over again.

| Ah. You have the same problem I have with Photoshop. I see. Make's sense. I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions. Anyways, I have to say I like Anth's method for using MSP:W7. But I'd agree with Shinobu, it still seems like it'd take to long. So maybe it just sucks tennis balls and olives? | |

| Paint with Windows 7 was them trying to get more bang for the buck and just messing up a good thing.
Color replacement gives me trouble, the line tools are irk-some, and I just don't like it :-P
I'm thinking of working more in Paint.net more just to get the hang of it.

| I tend to have multiple tabs of Paint up at the same time, one for the Micro I'm building, and then one for any templates I'm pulling from. As I tend to pull from templates for just about everything. I'll save one copy once I get the base the way I want it and then I'll start putting clothes together off to the side... and then save a copy as a Wardrobe file... and then assemble everything only when I'm ready to save a final copy...
*shrug* I don't use reference pics very often because I'm usually working either from memory or from my imagination. In the case of the Bin Mara dolls the reference picture is the character on my Nintendo DS sitting beside me on the couch...
