RPU - Do you think it is a good idea?

Well, here i am with another of my ideas to get members involved more in the RPG, seen as theres only 3 people who actually use it now. Basically i've thought of a way to incorporate elements from the Universe, Requestverse & RPG Sections to create what i've called the RPU (Role Playing Universe, it's a working title XD). It will be written almost like a Universe, but the creator would get other members to play thier characters. The creator could choose to join in or just direct what happens in the RP.

Atm im still working on simplifying it but up to know i'm liking how it looks, but i want to know your views on this idea? (I know i'm gonna get slammed by some of the members but it's only there as a test after discussing it in the chatbox with some of the members).

In theory I think it's a good idea, kind of like an DC-RPG where the characters are pre-generated but I think the downside is adding the Request/Universe into it.

People usually do a Universe for their own ideas and their own takes on things, somewhat the same as with the request-verse. You are asking someone to do their vision of something, adding players to that is almost asking for a melt-down or god-moding.

Setting a game based on one of the Universes or Request-verses isn't a bad idea, there are some awesome ideas out there, but I don't think lumping them all into one is going to work out like you think.

It actually looks like a cool idea. I'd like to see how it works before I give it a shot though, I've been wanting to RP again

Well i want to do a test run of this style RPG and see what happens. If i can get enough people involved, we could give it a shot and see what happens XD
