Thanks, everyone,

As you might have noticed, I'm a big fan of the unsung minor characters of Star Trek. Plan on doing some more of the less-often-done characters like the three above.

SolarFlare, Galloway was definitely vaporized in "The Omega Glory." Vanished in a phaser beam. You can see his "demise" in these three screencaps from TrekCore.com:
