Greetings All,
Well, I had planned on posting a particular bit of info, but circumstances beyond my control have led me to reconstruct my original post ever so slightly. Best made plans of mice and men I suppose.
Oh well, first things first.
I swung by the other night, but since it looked as though Dave, Kon, and Razor might be getting’ ready to have a through-down…
... I thought I’d go looking for a few more Melon Girls to add to my collection.

Ok, with that out of the way, I’d best try to clear up a few things.
Now, I was gone for over a month, and during that time this almost “0” access to a computer. By the way… you wouldn’t believe how many kids would be hanging out at the library and hogging the computers there. Most of them were either playing games, or checking their on-line Pokemon and or Yu-Gi-O cards, when they should have been playing
“Chaotic” or scopin’ out the latest
“LEGO”s.
Kids today. GADS!!!
Anywho… like I said… time was very limited, so since I had just about zippo contact with a computer, I had to find other things to do. Of course, there was my quest to find a new power supply;
“THAT” was a must… not to mention that I was also checkin’ out the latest in computers… just in case the worst happened.
But in the mean time, and in-between time, I was also scopin’ out all the different Digital TV Converts… ya’ll know, the one’s that Congress has mandated everyone have before they pull the plug on all Analog TV Broadcasts on Feb. 12, 2009. By the way… come to find out that not all converters will work with all brands of TV’s. Not to mention that once a Government Coupon is used, a person can only exchange their converter with the exact same brand… even if it doesn’t work with your TV.
So once again folks… We’re Screwed.
Anywho… I did luck out with one of the converters, a
Magnovox TB100MG9, which I purchased at
Sears, seems to be working rather well, while the Venturer that I purchased at Target… BITES!!!
I would’ve bought a second Magnovox, but that was the last one Sears had, and unfortunately I was on the last day to use my coupon. Oh, just in case ya’ll didn’t know… those Government Coupon’s are only good for 90 days, and yes… they
“do” have an expiration date… so watch out.
I also discovered…
to my horror… that once this mandate goes through, I won’t be able to use my VCR to record any of my Saturday morning cartoons… unless of course I get a TV that has 3 Audio/Video jacks located on the back of the set. Plus… since none of the current converters have “Recording Capabilities”, the only way one “can” record a show is by having their VCR or DVR set to either Channel 3 or 4, and tuning their converter to the channel they want recorded. They also have to leave their TV and Converter on, as well as switch off the converters Power Saver; otherwise all they’ll record is snow.
Plus… all the folks out there who have that picture-in-picture thing, will have to buy 2 converters in order for them to still be able to use that particular feature… at least that’s what one of the newscasters reported the other day. Speaking of which… they’ll not exactly burning up the newsroom with all the latest info on “THE BIG SWITCH”… it’s as though someone, somewhere, has bought off all of the major and minor networks, just to keep everyone in the dark. But hey… who’d want to do that???
Oh! I did manage to locate
“1” Digital converter that has Recording Capabilities. It’s the
DISH Network DTVPal Converter Box, but I’m still scopin’ out the info on that, and if any of ya’ll out there are interested, feel free to check it out. Here’s the link:

Dave - It’s not that I’m obsessed… I just have an incredible weakness for women who have exceedingly large… um… "personalities". Yeah, that’s it.
Not that I’m not interested in women with A, B, or even C “personalities”. It’s just that I’m drawn to those with D, DD, DDD, FFF, GGG, or even XXX personalities. HA!
But seriously, while those gals are great… “Gravity” will betray them all in the end. So… before that day happens, please don’t begrudge me having just a “little” fun.
Kon - Dave? Problems? Heck no. It’s just like chicken. Some of us prefer the legs. Some of us prefer the wings. Some of us prefer the breast. (
Guess which one I prefer. HA!) Not to mention that some folks prefer white meat over dark. Me??? White. Dark. Hey… it’s all good when drizzled with gravy. HA! I also happen to like Chinese and Italian. What can I say… I’m my own United Nations. Boo-yahh!

which ever you think describes me best… mainly because I had forgotten about all that. I know that sounds strange, but I had originally planned to just say “Hey!” to everyone, post my little me’s, and then go scope out a bunch of galleries. But… after reading everyone’s warm words of welcome back, (1)… I was really surprised that so many folks had such nice things to say, and (2)… I was concerned that what I was going to post might not live up to their expectations.
See, my original post was about a page and a half long,
not exactly the “EPIC” posts that some folks have come to expect, and after I went back and re-read some of my posts prior to my “BAD NEWS” post, (1)… I saw that I had to try to kick-start my Weirdness levels again, and (2)… I really wasn’t sure if I could. I guess what they say is true… “Use it, or Lose it.”
Anywho… while scopin’ out my Photobucket album, I found a lot of thing that I forgot I even had. By the way… I “really” miss the high-speed connections that the library had. But I digress. Like I said, I just didn’t want to let anyone down, so while my last post might not have had my usual dash weirdness, I certainly hope that I’ll be able to get it back up to the standards that everyone here has come to expect.
Unless of course… somebody calls the cops first. HA!

JDD19and99 - Thanks for your kind words, but like I told RK, I really wasn’t sure if it was up to snuff. Well… at least no one can ever say that I have a big ego. I’m glad you got a kick out the little me’s… as well as the song. I’ve got a million of ‘em. Ok, well… maybe not a million… but I do have a few others that I'll probably share with ya’ll from time to time.
